Important Assembly & Safety Disclaimer
The information provided on this page is intended as a general guide only and does not replace professional bicycle assembly or inspection.

Bicycle assembly requires correct installation, alignment, and tightening of components to appropriate torque settings. Incorrect assembly may result in component failure, damage to the bicycle, or personal injury.

Pedals are threaded differently and must be fitted to the correct side (left and right are determined from the rider’s seated position). Brakes, gears, steering, and all fixings must be fully checked and adjusted before use.

Shyre Bikes accepts no liability for damage, injury, or loss resulting from incorrect or incomplete assembly. If you are unsure at any stage, or for full assurance of safety, the bicycle should be assembled and/or checked by a qualified bicycle mechanic prior to riding.
Step-by-Step Assembly Guide
Unbox Your Hopton
Carefully remove the bike from the box and take off all protective packaging. The bike arrives nearly complete, the handlebars, front wheel, pedals, and accessories just need fitting. Take care when removing staples or cable ties.
Fit the Handlebars
1. Remove any cardboard or packaging from the handlebar area.
2. Position the handlebars so the brake levers face the rider.
3. Insert the handlebar stem and align it with the front wheel.
4. Angle the handlebars slightly forward (around 45°).
5. Tighten the stem bolts evenly using a 5mm Allen key, ensuring the handlebars are straight and secure.
Install the Front Wheel
1. Remove any cardboard or packaging from the handlebar area.
2. Position the handlebars so the brake levers face the rider.
3. Insert the handlebar stem and align it with the front wheel.
4. Angle the handlebars slightly forward (around 45°).
5. Tighten the stem bolts evenly using a Allen key, ensuring the handlebars are straight and secure.
Fit the Pedals
Pedals are marked L (left) and R (right).

1. Thread each pedal onto the correct crank arm.
2. The right pedal tightens clockwise; the left pedal tightens anti-clockwise.
3. Use a pedal spanner or Allen key to fully secure.
Adjust the Saddle Height
1. Loosen the seat clamp using the Allen key.
2. Set the saddle so your child can place the balls of their feet on the ground.
3. Tighten the clamp securely so the saddle doesn’t move during riding.
Fit the Reflectors and Bell
Your Eastie comes with safety accessories that are simple to attach:

1. Attach the front reflector to the handlebar and point it straight ahead.
2. Fit the rear reflector to the seat post and angle it slightly upward.
3. Secure the bell to the handlebar within easy reach of small hands.
4. Tighten all fittings using the included Allen key.
Check Your Brakes
1. Pull both brake levers to ensure they engage smoothly.
2. Spin both wheels to check for rubbing.
3. If needed, align the calipers slightly using the Allen key.
Final Safety Check
Before your child rides:

1. Make sure all bolts are tightened.
2. Ensure the handlebars are straight and don’t twist.
3. Test the brakes again.
4. Check the wheels are firmly secured.
