Balance first.Everything else follows.
The Shyre Myndie is the featherlight balance bike that teaches toddlers to ride the natural way — no pedals, no stabilisers, no tears. Just 3.9kg, so they can pick it up themselves.
Why balance comes before pedals
Every confident rider starts the same way — by learning to balance. The Myndie strips a bike back to that one skill, and makes it feel like play.
The fastest way to learn to ride
Stabilisers teach children to pedal a bike that can't fall over — then ask them to unlearn it. A balance bike does the opposite. From around 18 months, your child scoots, glides and steers the Myndie with their feet on the ground, building the core skill of cycling before pedals ever enter the picture.
Children who start on a balance bike typically skip stabilisers entirely and move straight to a pedal bike — often years earlier than their friends. When they're ready for the Hopton 16", the balance is already there; pedalling is the easy part.
Light enough to be theirs
At just 3.9kg, the Myndie is one of the lightest balance bikes you can buy — lighter than most toddlers' school bags. That matters more than any other spec: a bike a child can pick up, turn around and carry is a bike they'll actually ride. No dragging, no asking for help, no frustration.
The seat adjusts in seconds to grow with them, and when they're flying, our 14" wheel upgrade set extends the ride even further — same bike, bigger adventures.
If they can walk, they can Myndie.
The Shyre family, Shropshire
Designed by a family, built to be handed down
We're a family business from Shropshire, and the Myndie was designed for our own kids first. Every edge is smooth, every touchpoint sized for small hands, and the frame is backed by our lifetime warranty — because this is a bike that should survive one childhood and start another.
It comes in five colours worth arguing over: Green, Red, Pink, Blue and Purple.

Featherlight frame
At 3.9kg all-in, the Myndie weighs less than most school bags — so your toddler can lift it, turn it and make it theirs.

Quick height adjustment keeps their feet flat on the ground from 18 months to 3½ years — the key to balance-bike confidence.
12" wheels, upgradeable to 14"
Start on 12" wheels, then fit our upgrade set when they're flying — same bike, longer ride, better value.
